Bellingham Rosé 2003

TASTING NOTES
Colour: A brilliant clear deep pink colour.
Nose: Distinct nose rich in freshly crushed strawberry flavours with ripe cherry nuances and hints of spice.
Palate: Burst of strawberries on the palate with touches of spice. Delicately sweet with a refreshing crisp finish and a fruity aftertaste.
Overall: A well made wine, elegant, delicately sweet, gushing with rich red berry aromas and flavours.
Food suggestions: On its own or with salmon, spicy chicken salads, paella, roast pork, sweet and sour dishes.

IN THE VINEYARD
The Cinsaut and Pinotage grapes are sourced from vineyards selected for producing the quality grapes required for this style of Rose.

THE HARVEST
The grapes are harvested at optimum ripeness to allow full flavour development and the desired sugar content.

IN THE CELLAR
The grapes are crushed and fermented on the skins for 8 hours to obtain the unique Rose colour. The wine is then drawn off the skins and cold fermentation is continued until the desired sugar level is reached.
