TASTING NOTES
Michelangelo International Wine Awards 2003 - Gold
Colour: Straw with hints of green.
Nose: Slightly shy, with tropical fruit overtones, backed up by intriguing hints of spice.
Palate: Big, bold and full round with flavours of melon, guava and subtle spice. Overall a lightly-wooded, lavish and full-bodied wine with a well-rounded, seamless mouthfeel. It blossoms on the palate after a slow start.

THE HARVEST
The grapes were hand-picked from an exceptional pocket of old, low-yielding Chenin Blanc bushvines, growing at high altitude, in the Stellenbosch Region.

IN THE CELLAR
The wine was fermented in new oak barrels with D47 yeast for seven weeks. It was left on full lees for a further four months.
