A wonderfully complex nose – some grassy notes, a little smokiness, and behind it all, a healthy dash of fig preserve and some subtle oak. The flavour is dry, full and round, with green pepper notes over the fruit, and an earthy character showing through on the finish, which persists for some minutes. Vibrant and fresh now, it should develop in bottle for a year or three.
